Arriving in December of 2007, the Ranger is used for searches, rescues, during large incidents, and during fires. The Pennington County Fire Advisory Board approved the purchase of a Med Bed/Fire Unit for the Ranger. It can be used during the summer by the local fire departments on wildland and prairie fires and the Med Bed/Fire Unit can be removed during searches.
